About Dinky Hooves
Dinky Hooves is a calm, immersive miniature pony experience set in peaceful countryside on the edge of the Peak District.
Created as a space to slow down and step away from the noise of everyday life, our 60-minute sessions invite you to unplug, breathe, and reconnect with something simple and grounding.
You’ll spend unhurried time with our miniature Shetland ponies, Millie, Tess, and Winnie, each with their own personalities. Millie is affectionate and first for attention. Tess is confident, observant and always alert for treats. Winnie, our youngest, is full of quiet curiosity and charm.
During your visit, you’ll groom, interact, and walk alongside the ponies in a private countryside setting designed to feel calm and unhurried. There is no rush here, just space to slow down and enjoy being outdoors with the ponies in a peaceful environment.
Each experience is for small groups and intentionally slow-paced, giving you time to switch off, slow down, and simply be in the moment.
Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult throughout the experience.

Meet the Ponies
Millie
Affectionate, cheeky, and always first over for attention, Millie loves a fuss and will happily make herself the centre of attention whenever she can.
Tess
Confident, observant, and quietly in charge, Tess keeps a close eye on everything going on around her, especially if treats might be involved.
Winnie
Our youngest miniature Shetland, Winnie, is full of curiosity and charm. Although she isn’t taking part in experiences just yet, visitors always love meeting her.

I couldn’t recommend Dinky Hooves any higher, if I could I’d give more stars! The experience with the ponies was exceptional, the kindness, care and consideration to both children and animals was outstanding. We visited with three different aged children, the children learnt so much and everything was told to them in a very friendly, calm manner. The love that was felt for the ponies was apparent throughout the experience. All three children were included and all came out saying how much they had loved being there and they all want to go back again! (the adults would love to go back too!). If you get the chance to go take it you definitely won’t regret it!
10/10 experience, all the girls were so lovely and friendly. It was lovely to meet the owners who were passionate about their ponies you could tell that they want the best for their animals and it showed how happy they were.

SarahI had the loveliest time during my quiet pony session on Wednesday. I was incredibly anxious about going due to my autism and agoraphobia, but it was such a safe space for me. I felt extremely welcomed and completely understood.
Nicky allowed me to go at my own pace, asked me questions, and taught me about the ponies - I was so glad to learn that they finally have a place to call home after difficult lives. I even got the cutest keyring to take home. The views over the hills were incredible, and you could truly tell how much it meant to Nicky and their other half. They also took such great care of everything and everyone which was lovely to see.
I can't wait to go back with my family, and I highly recommend booking a session here for a moment of peace. 🤍
